அறம் பாடசாலை: தமிழ் மற்றும் திருக்குறள் திட்டங்கள்
 
அறம் தமிழ்ப்பள்ளி – 2016-ஆம் ஆண்டு திருமதி.நித்யா பழனிசாமி  மற்றும் திருமதி. நித்யப்ரியா சுரேஷ்குமார் அவர்களால் தொடங்கப்பட்ட அறம் தமிழ்ப்பள்ளி, அடுத்த தலைமுறைக்குத் தமிழ் மொழியின் செழுமையைக் கொண்டு செல்லும் ஒரு ஆர்வமிக்க முயற்சியாகும். வெஸ்ட்மாண்ட் (Westmont) பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த தன்னார்வலர்களுடன் வாரத்திற்கு ஒருமுறை தொடங்கப்பட்ட இந்த வகுப்பு, 2018-ஆம் ஆண்டு திருமதி.சுபாஸ்ரீ மணி அவர்களின் ஒத்துழைப்புடன் நேப்பர்வில் விரிவடைந்து, இன்று (கடந்த பத்து ஆண்டுகளில்) அமெரிக்கா மற்றும் கனடா முழுவதும் 200-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவர்களுக்குப் பயிற்சியளிக்கும் ஒரு துடிப்புள்ள சமூக இயக்கமாக வளர்ந்துள்ளது.
 
எங்கள் நோக்கம்: இளம் பிஞ்சுகளின் இதயங்களில் தமிழ் மொழியின் மீது உண்மையான அன்பை உருவாக்குவதும், தங்களின் தாய்மொழியைப் பெருமையுடன் பேசுவதற்கு அவர்களுக்குச் சக்தியூட்டுவதும் ஆகும்.
 
 
பதிவு மற்றும் கல்வி விவரங்கள் – அறம் தமிழ்ப்பள்ளி
 
பதிவு: ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஜூலை அல்லது ஆகஸ்ட் மாதங்களில் தொடங்கும்.
 
நுழைவுத் தேர்வு: மாணவர்களின் மொழித்திறனை மதிப்பிடவும், சரியான நிலையில் (Grade) அவர்களைச் சேர்க்கவும் கல்வி ஆண்டின் தொடக்கத்தில் ஒரு மதிப்பீடு நடத்தப்படும். இதில் ஆசிரியரின் முடிவே இறுதியானது.
 
ஆண்டு கட்டணம்: தோராயமாக $125–$150. இது புத்தகங்கள், வகுப்பறை வசதிகள், அரை ஆண்டு மற்றும் ஆண்டு விழாச் செலவுகளை உள்ளடக்கியது. (துல்லியமான கட்டணம் பதிவின் போது அறிவிக்கப்படும்).
 
வகுப்புகள்: வாரத்திற்கு ஒருமுறை வாரநாட்களில் 1.5 மணிநேரம் இணையவழியில் நடைபெறும்.
 
தேர்வுகள்: அரை ஆண்டு மற்றும் ஆண்டுத் தேர்வுகளுக்கு மாணவர்கள் நேரடியாக (In-person) சமூகமளிக்க வேண்டும்.
 
வழங்கப்படும் பொருட்கள்: புத்தகங்கள், குறிப்பேடுகள், எழுதுபொருட்கள், டி-சர்ட் (T-shirt) மற்றும் அடையாள அட்டை.
 
பெற்றோர் ஒத்துழைப்பு: வீட்டில் மாணவர்களுக்குப் வீட்டுப்பாடங்களில் உதவவும், முடிந்தவரை தமிழிலேயே பேசவும் பெற்றோர்கள் ஊக்குவிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்.
 
இடைக்கால சேர்க்கை: கல்வியாண்டின் இடையில் சேர்க்கை பொதுவாக அனுமதிக்கப்படுவதில்லை; சிறப்புச் சூழல்களில் ஆசிரியரின் முடிவைப் பொறுத்து பரிசீலிக்கப்படும்.
 
பொறுப்புத் துறப்பு (Disclaimer Form): சேர்க்கையின் போது பெற்றோர்கள் இந்த படிவத்தில் கையெழுத்திட வேண்டும்.

ARAM Tamizh Palli – Bringing Our Language to Life

Founded in 2016 by  Mrs.Nithya Palanisamy & Mrs. Nithypriya Sureshkumar, ARAM Tamizh Palli began as a passionate initiative to pass on the richness of the Tamizh language to the next generation. What started with a dedicated group of Westmont-based volunteers teaching children of ARAM families once a week has extended to Naperville / Aurora area in the year 2018 with the help of Mrs.Subhasri Mani, has grown into a vibrant, community-driven movement, now serving over 200 students across the US and Canada over the past ten years.
 
Our mission: To spark a genuine love for Tamizh in young hearts and empower them to speak their mother tongue with pride.
 
Registration & Academic Details – ARAM Tamizh Palli
 
Registration: Opens in July or August each year.
 
Entrance Assessment: Conducted at the start of the year to evaluate student proficiency and ensure proper grade placement. The teacher’s decision is final.
 
Annual Fee: Approximately $125–$150, covering books, classroom facilities, and half-yearly and annual celebrations. Exact fee is shared during registration.
 
Classes: Held once a week on a weekday for 1.5 hours online.
 
Examinations: Students must attend half-yearly and annual examinations in person.
 
Materials Provided: Books, notes, stationery, a T-shirt, and an ID card.
 
Parental Support: Parents are encouraged to assist with homework and speak Tamizh at home as much as possible.
 
Mid-Year Admissions: Generally discouraged; exceptions considered at the teacher’s discretion.

ARAM அறம் திருக்குறள் வகுப்பு - காலத்தால் அழியாத அறநெறிகளை அடுத்த தலைமுறைக்குக் கொண்டு செல்லுதல்

உலகப்பொதுமறையான திருக்குறளின் உலகளாவிய விழுமியங்களை அடுத்த தலைமுறைக்குக் கொண்டு செல்வதற்காக 2016-இல் அறம் திருக்குறள் வகுப்பு தொடங்கப்பட்டது. சிகாகோ பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த அறம் தன்னார்வலர்கள் குழு, வாரந்தோறும் ஒரு மணிநேர இணையவழி (Online) வகுப்புகள் மூலம் மாணவர்களை இணைக்கிறது.

ஒவ்வொரு வகுப்பிலும் புதிய குறள்கள் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்படுவதோடு, ஏற்கனவே கற்ற குறள்களும் மறுபார்வை செய்யப்படுகின்றன. இதன் மூலம் மாணவர்கள் குறள்களைத் தெளிவாகப் புரிந்துகொண்டு நினைவில் வைத்துக்கொள்ள முடிகிறது.

அறம் திருக்குறள் வகுப்பு – முக்கிய தகவல்கள்:

  • அறம் திருக்குறள் வகுப்பு ஆண்டு, பொதுப் பள்ளி கல்வி ஆண்டுடன் இணைந்துள்ளது. இது பொதுவாக ஆகஸ்ட்/செப்டம்பர் மாதங்களில் தொடங்கி, மே/ஜூன் மாதங்களில் நிறைவடைகிறது.
  • பதிவுகள் (Registration) பொதுவாக ஜூலை அல்லது ஆகஸ்ட் மாதங்களில் தொடங்கப்படும்.
  • மாணவர்கள் ஆண்டின் தொடக்கத்தில் அவர்களின் திருக்குறள் திறனை மதிப்பீடு செய்து, தகுந்த குழுவில் சேர்க்கப்படுவர். ஆசிரியரின் தீர்மானமே இறுதி முடிவாகும்.
  • சேர்க்கப்பட்ட மாணவர்கள் புத்தகங்கள், அறை வசதி, அரையாண்டு மற்றும் ஆண்டு விழா செலவுகளுக்காக குறைந்தபட்ச ஆண்டு கட்டணம் செலுத்த வேண்டும். கட்டணம் பற்றிய தகவல் பதிவு செய்யும் போது தெரிவிக்கப்படும்.
  • வாரத்தில் ஒரு நாள், ஒரு மணி நேரம் வகுப்பு நடத்தப்படும்.
  • வகுப்பில் கலந்துகொள்ள, ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் வழங்கும் கான்பரன்ஸ் அழைப்பு எண்ணை பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.
  • ஒவ்வொரு வகுப்புக்கும் முன் அன்றைய திருக்குறள் விவரங்களுடன் மின்னஞ்சல் அனுப்பப்படும். தேவையானபோது முழுமையான பட்டியலும் பகிரப்படும்.
  • பெற்றோர், வாரத்தில் கற்ற திருக்குறளை குழந்தைகள் மீண்டும் பயிலவும், அதன் பொருளை புரிந்துகொண்டு மனப்பாடம் செய்யவும் உதவ வேண்டும்.
  • நடுப்பகுதியில் (Mid-term) சேர்த்தல் பரிந்துரைக்கப்படவில்லை. இருப்பினும், தனிப்பட்ட சூழ்நிலையைப் பொறுத்து ஆசிரியர் முடிவு செய்வார்.
  • அனைத்து மாணவர்களுக்கும் அரையாண்டு மற்றும் ஆண்டு மதிப்பீடு நடைபெறும்.

ARAM ARAM Thirukkural Classes – Carrying Timeless Moral Values to the Next Generation

ARAM Thirukkural Classes were started in 2016 with the objective of passing on the universal values of Thirukkural to the next generation. A group of ARAM volunteers from the Chicago area conduct weekly one-hour online classes to engage and educate students.

In each class, new Thirukkural couplets are introduced, and previously learned couplets are reviewed. This approach helps students clearly understand the meaning of each Kural and retain them effectively in memory.

Key Details about ARAM Thirukkural Classes:

  • The academic year aligns with the Public School District calendar, typically beginning in August/September and ending in May/June.
  • Registrations usually open during July or August each year.
  • Students are assessed at the beginning of the year based on their proficiency in Thirukkural and are placed in appropriate groups. The teacher’s decision will be final.
  • Enrolled students are required to pay a nominal annual fee to cover expenses such as books, classroom arrangements, and half-yearly and annual celebrations. The approximate fee is around $50 and will be communicated during registration.
  • Classes are conducted once a week on a weekday for a duration of one hour.
  • Students must join the conference call number shared by the coordinator to attend the class.
  • An email will be sent before each class with the Thirukkural planned for the session. A consolidated list of Thirukkural will also be shared when necessary.
  • Parents are expected to work with their children during the week to review the Thirukkural taught in class and help them memorize it with proper understanding of its meaning.
  • Mid-term enrollments are generally not recommended. However, the teacher may decide based on individual circumstances.
  • There will be a half-yearly review and an annual review for all students.
